The BEST Grad Present EVER...

Friday, July 24, 2009

My Parents, Jeff & I were all in on a little Grad Surprise for Nathan..

1st, We took him to Lunch..

Then we gave him his Gift.. A seemingly ordinary, Graduation Gift bag... The card said "Congrats & Goodbye"...

"This isn't a Graduation card..." He was perplexed...

He started to open it... 1 postcard... another postcard... and another postcard...

And then.. An envelope.. w/ a Continental Ticket Itinerary... to where, you might ask??

CAIRNS, AUSTRALIA!!

Postcards ALL from his next destination! We ALL leave on Sunday  & we could not be anymore STOKED then we are!!

And this picture, was just FUNNY!

More on our adventures!

Where America's Day Begins..

SO much to update everyone on in the last 2 days...

1st...

Jeff & I have completed our Master's! We'll get the official diplomas & pomp & circumstance in December. Yesterday we had a luncheon at one of the Hotels to Celebrate, our Cohort could not be MORE relieved/ecstatic/proud/shocked! We LOVE the members of our Cohort, we've become family!

Then...

Nathan came to the Island! It was part of his grad present, we were equally as stoked as he was!

Our Chamorro "Brother" David made sure Nathan received a true welcome! He made Nathan a Lei of Tea-Leaves, and met us at the airport with his cousin, a guitar, conch shell, and a hand-made shell necklace! As soon as Nathan came through customs, David blew the conch shell, I gave him the lei, his cousin played the guitar & sang, & Jeff took the pictures!

Today, after a brief final presentation up @ the University, Jeff, Nathan & I took the grand tour around the Island. We drove down south & grabbed lunch @ Jeff's Pirate Cove, a fav of ours. Jeff LOVES the Burgers...

We also surprised Nathan w/ the rest of his Grad present... (see post above or below, or wherever the post ends up)

The End is Near...

Perhaps ya'll will forgive the lack of updates, posts, & pictures... There hasn't been to much to share, but there will be in the next few days, promise...

Here's a Sneak Peak...

End of Summer School Luncheon TOMORROW

Nathan arrives TOMORROW!

Tune in later to find out more...

All at Sea...

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Yesterday afternoon we headed out to sea. This was a required assignment for Summer School, a mandatory afternoon on the Ocean, tough right? We set out around 2:30 (Jeff & I were the last to arrive, we assumed that everyone else would be on "Guam Time" & that we'd be early, we were wrong...) We headed to sea for about 1/2 an hour, we were promised Dolphins but all we saw on the way out were Flying Fish (also very cool), but they aren't dolphins..

We headed past Turtle Rock, a mini-island of Volcanic Rock shaped like a Turtle (hence, Turtle Rock).. Do ya see it?? The flat head is on the right, the neck, shell, etc... You can see Guam in the background.

We came to a bay near Agat (the Southern part of the Island) where we planned on anchoring down for some Snorkeling.. Guess who we ran into??

Flipper & Friends! There was a pod of Dolphins! They were so close to us! I didn't get them doing anything to exciting on film, but there they are, nonetheless.

We didn't get to go swimming with the little guys, but we were close. We anchored near the Dolphins, did a little snorkeling, swimming & diving off the boat. The water was clear, the fish were colorful, & the temp. was perfect! The food wasn't bad either!

Now, who wants to come visit??

Props to My Pop's

Monday, June 22, 2009

I'm a day late here (Guam Time) but barely making it (State-Side Time) to give some Props to my EXTRA Special Pop's..

I've got THE greatest Dad in the world, hands down, for more reasons than I can count.

I've got 2 of the most STELLAR Grandpa's EVER...

and that's just my side of the fam!

I've also been blessed with AMAZING In-Laws.. Father-in-Law, Grandpa-in-Law, & Papa-in-Law..

Not to mention the husband, who is definitely NOT a father yet, but will be some day..

I am SO blessed to be surrounded, protected, and taught by such amazing men. I don't know how, or why I got so lucky!

But here's to the MEN in my life..

Thank you, for everything! You ALL are my everything!

I love you, more than any of you may realize.

4 Days & Counting....

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Nothing new, really.

We've survived the "hump-day" for our 11-day semester...

Only 4 more to go...

Jeff & Heather's Daily Schedule:

8-12 --- Class

12-4 --- Library, Homework

4-8 --- Class

We spend more time @ the University then we do home!

This is why the blogs have been sparse.

More to come soon!
